CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard Women's Swimming and Diving steps onto the pool deck for the first time in 2023 on Saturday for an Ivy League matchup at Penn. The action in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania is slated to begin at 1 p.m. ET with diving. The swim events are set for 2 p.m. ET.
What to Know
- Harvard is set to compete for the first time since early December when it appeared at the Minnesota Invitational in Minneapolis (Nov. 30-Dec. 3).
- The Crimson had two swimmers record NCAA B-standard times at the Minnesota Invite in Abby Carr and Samantha Shelton. Carr hit the mark in the 100 butterfly (53.48) and 200 butterfly (1:58.99), with Shelton logging a B-cut time of 1:56.73 in the 200 backstroke.
- Harvard is 5-0 this season in dual meets (4-0 Ivy League) and returns to head-to-head action for the first time since taking down Columbia, 191-106, at Blodgett Pool back on Nov. 18.
- The Crimson enters its dual meet with Penn having won 32 of the 35 all-time matchups between the teams. Harvard, meanwhile, has won 17 in a row vs. the Quakers.
