CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. – After a highlight filled weekend in which she led the team with six points, Harvard women's ice hockey forward,
Anne Bloomer, was voted the ECAC Hockey Forward of the Week. Bloomer's second career hat-trick and additional three assists netted her the second weekly honor of her career.
The Chicago native was on a tear in the team's first game this weekend against No. 10/9. Cornell, scoring three goals and adding a pair of assists to finish with a career high five points. Her first goal came just 14 seconds into regulation and was followed up by another score in the first period. Her third goal of the night helped Harvard retake the lead against Big Red that the team would not surrender on its way to a huge 7-6 upset win on the road in Ithaca. The five-point total for the senior captain was the most in a game since Dominque Petrie '22 in 2020.
Bloomer added an assist in the tilt against Colgate the following afternoon to finish the weekend with six points. The History and Literature concentrator now has 20 points in as many games and has notched a point in 11 of the 20 games she has played in.
The senior has been Harvard's most dangerous offensive threat in 2022-23, scoring or assisting on 48-percent of the team's goals this season, the highest-mark of any skater in the ECAC.
