New Haven, CT – The Crimson concluded play at the ITA Northeast Regional with the final round of the singles draw. Three members of Harvard men's tennis won their matches to qualify for the ITA Super Regionals in two weekends.
Sophomore
Valdemar Pape qualified for the Super Regionals for the second straight year by defeating fellow Ivy League foe, Alex Finkelstein (Brown), in straight sets, 6-3, 6-2.
David Lins joined Pape with a straight set win, defeating Shauya Sood (Quinnipiac) in a pair of 6-3 decisions.
Lastly,
Marc Ktiri qualified for the Super Regionals in come from behind fashion over Xander Barber (Dartmouth). After falling in the first set, 4-6, Ktiri came from behind to win the next two sets, 6-3, 6-3, the claim the overall victory.
Alongside three qualifiers in singles, yesterday Pape and
Masato Perera won their final doubles match to punch their ticket to the Super Regionals.
