HAMDEN, Conn. - Harvard Women's Ice Hockey faced off against No. 9 Quinnipiac at M&T Bank Arena tonight, dropping a 7-1 result to the Bobcats. The Crimson (0-6-1, 0-6-1 ECACH) got a goal from Gwyn Lapp in the matchup. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Crimson controlled the face-offs in period one. Gwynn Lapp and Shannon Hollands each had five wins on the dot. Despite the effort, the Bobcats escaped the period with a 4-0 lead. 

• The second period fared better for Harvard, as it outscored the Bobcats 1-0. Gwynn Lapp punched in the tally off an assist from Shannon Hollands and Sophie Ensley. This was Lapp's second goal of the season thus far. 

• Harvard held the period advantage in shots on goal and face offs.

• Harvard allowed three more goals in the third period, yet Daisy Boynton still saved 15 shots on goals. 

• The Crimson led in blocked shots, stopping 14 on the night. Mia Biotti led the team with 6. 

• Gwynn Lapp scored her second career goal on a power play in the second period. 

• Lapp's goal was assisted by both Shannon Hollands and Sophie Ensley. Holland earned her third assist of the season; Ensley had her second.

• Mia Biotti blocked six shots, a game high on the season for the Junior blue-liner.

Harvard is back in Cambridge on Friday (Nov. 10) and Saturday (Nov. 11) to face Cornell and Colgate in another ECAC back-to-back matchup. Both games will be streamed on ESPN+.
