Women’s Ice Hockey To Battle Boston College in 44th Women’s Beanpot Tonight on NESN

BOSTON, Mass. – Harvard women's hockey (7-14-3, 6-10-3 ECACH) will defend its Beanpot title tonight when it takes on the Boston College Eagles (16-12-1, 14-10-0 HEA) in the 44th Women's Beanpot Tournament opening round. The Crimson and the Eagles will clash at Conte Forum and on NESN tonight beginning at 7:30 PM.
 
  • Harvard has won 15 Beanpot titles all-time, second behind Northeastern (17). The program's last Beanpot triumph came last year in the 2021-22 season. 
  • The Crimson has an all-time record of 51-34-2 in the Beanpot.
  • Harvard is 42-22-1 vs. the Eagles all-time including a 18-10-0 mark in the Beanpot.
  • The meeting is the second this season between Harvard and Boston College. The Eagles took the first meeting by a score of 5-1 back on Nov. 22.
  • The Crimson and the Eagles met in the Beanpot championship a year ago, with a 5-4 result at Matthews Arena (Northeastern). Kristin Della Rovere scored twice in the contest to propel the Crimson to victory.
  • Kristin Della Rovere leads the active Crimson student-athletes with seven points in her Beanpot career. Her five goals are also a team high.
  • Anne Bloomer (5), Mia Biotti (3), Kyra Willoughby (2) and Shannon Hollands (1) also have made their way onto the scoresheet in their Beanpot careers.
  • Sophomore netminder, Alex Pellicci, will see her first Beanpot action tonight against the Eagles. Pellicci is on pace to break the Crimson's single-season saves mark of 927 (Lindsay Reed, 2019) as she currently sits at 839 with five regular season games to play.
