Women’s Squash Cruises to Victory Over Tufts

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – No. 2 Harvard Women's Squash returned home tonight to welcome No. 11 Tufts to the Murr Center.  In the battle of two Boston area schools, the Crimson cruised to victory over the Jumbos, sweeping them 9-0.
 
The Crimson pulled ahead quickly and never looked back, dominating their opponents for the entirety of the match.  Serena Daniel grabbed the fifth win in as many matches played to ultimately clinch the win for the Crimson. 

Harvard Highlights

  • In the 9-0 sweep, the Crimson were nearly perfect dropping only one game throughout the nine matches. 
  • Marina Stefanoni got back to her winning ways today and did so while dropping the least number of points of any Crimson player, outscoring her opponent 11-1, 11-2, 11-3. 
  • The Crimson handled their opponents with speed as no match took longer than 28 minutes to complete. 
  • Stefanoni, Binney Huffman, and Molly Stoltz all did not give up more than ten points to their opponent.  Four other players did not drop more than 15 points. 
  • With the win, the Crimson remain perfect against the Jumbos, having won all 17 of their matchups.
