CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – No. 13 Harvard Men's Tennis returns home for the first time this spring for a trio of matches over Friday, March 24 and Sunday, March 26. The Crimson will add two additional ranked opponents to its resume as it welcomes No. 75 Virginia Tech and defending National Champion No. 8 Virginia alongside a matchup with Boston University.
First up, the Crimson is set to host a doubleheader of No. 75 Virginia Tech and Boston University on Friday, March 24 at 2:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m., respectively.
Harvard will close the weekend with a battle of top-15 squads as it welcomes No. 8 Virginia on Sunday, March 26 at 1:00 p.m. Cracked Racquets Tennis will be in Cambridge to cover what will be one of the top collegiate tennis matchups of the year. Harvard Men's Tennis is calling for all Crimson and tennis faithful to come show their support on Sunday. Free Felipe's burritos will be given out to the first 150 fans in attendance.

ACC Foes Come to Cambridge
- Having already faced off against three opponents from the Atlantic Coast Conference this spring, the Crimson will welcome No. 75 Virginia Tech and No. 8 Virginia to Cambridge.
- The Crimson will look to improve to 4-1 against opponents in the ACC, a conference that is comprised of 12 teams ranked inside the top-75 of the ITA Collegiate Tennis Team Rankings.
- No. 75 Virginia Tech currently sits at 7-10 overall and 1-6 in conference play for the spring season. The Hokies have lost five straight to ranked conference foes.
- The Hokies stayed inside the ITA Collegiate Tennis Team Rankings, grabbing the final spot inside the top-75, and are represented with Ryan Fishback at No. 49 in the singles rankings and two duos in the doubles poll.
- The Crimson has defeated the Hokies in all 11 matchups of the all-time series. The battle will be the first between the two teams since 2012, when Harvard defeated Virginia Tech, 4-2.
- No. 8 Virginia is 15-4 overall and a perfect 7-0 in conference play for the 2023 spring season. The Cavaliers are on a seven-match win streak since beginning conference play.
- The Cavaliers come into the season as defending National Champions. Going 28-5 last year, Virginia upset No. 2 Florida and No. 6 Tennessee with ease in the NCAA tournament before sweeping No. 8 Kentucky to be crowned National Champions.
- Virginia continues to look strong in their defense of the crown, sitting inside the top-10 of the most recent team rankings and racking up spots in the singles and doubles polls.
- The Crimson has a slight 8-5 edge in the all-time series against the Cavaliers. The two teams last met in the 2022 spring season when Virginia won, 6-1.
What to Know
- The Crimson will play on its home courts for the first time in the 2023 spring season, following a 10-4 road and neutral site record to begin the year.
- Harvard is coming off a strong week in California where it went 4-1, including downing No. 36 nationally ranked Virginia Commonwealth University, 4-3. The Crimson advanced to the finals of a star-studded Ed Collins Spring Classic before falling in a battle against No. 30 Utah.
- While on their spring break trip, Daniel Milavsky and Harris Walker teamed up in doubles play for the first time this season. Going 4-1, the pairing took down the No. 80 nationally ranked duo twice and the No. 72 ranked duo in their match against VCU.
- The Crimson continues to be a constant presence inside the top-15 of the national rankings, coming in at No. 13 in the most recent polls. Harvard has sat inside the top-20 in every ITA Collegiate Tennis Team Ranking so far this season and has found itself in the top-15 for the last five weeks.
- In the most recent singles and doubles rankings, on March 21, the Crimson were represented by three individuals in the singles poll. Leading the way, Henry von der Schulenburg earned the No. 20 spot in the rankings followed by Walker at No. 30. For the first time this spring, Ronan Jachuck broke into the singles rankings, earning the No. 112 spot.
- von der Schulenburg and Walker have looked strong for the Crimson in singles play this season. The co-captains are 6-1 and 9-3, respectively, at the No. 1 and 2 positions.
- In doubles play, Jachuck and Steven Sun have teamed up this spring and been dominant for the Crimson. Having already reached double-figure wins, the duo sits at 10-2, leading the Crimson in doubles wins by six.

This weekend's trio of matches will be the final non-conference contests of the regular season as the Crimson opens up Ivy League play on Saturday, April 1. For its first conference test, Harvard will head to Hanover, New Hampshire to face Dartmouth at 2:00 p.m.
