Women's Hockey To Welcome Six First-Years in Class of 2027

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard women's hockey is excited to welcome six new members to the HWH family this season. This talented group will join the College's Class of 2027 and hopes to make an immediate impact on the program when it hits the ice in October.
 
Zoe Boosamra, Kaley MacDonald, Brooke Manning, Angelica Megdanis, Maria Pape and Annie Sun are all set to join the team this Fall after terrific high school and club careers. The Class of 2027 will be a crucial part of the young core of players who all hope to help the program rise to new heights in 2023-24.

Zoe Boosamra

Forward | Montreal, Quebec, Canada | Dawson College | Lac St-Louis Warriors
 
Before Harvard
Played four years of varsity hockey with Dawson … Played at the Sacred Heart School prior to her time at Dawson … Named the captain at Dawson during her senior year … Served as assistant captain as a junior … Won the Dawson College Hockey Robert Springer Memorial Award in 2023 … Was named Most Dedicated in 2021-22 … Was named the Sacred Heart School MVP in hockey after the 2018-19 and 2019-20 seasons … Served as President of the Sacred Heart School Student Council in 2019-20.
 

Kaley MacDonald

Defensewoman | Walpole, Mass. | Deerfield Academy/Noble & Greenough School | Boston Jr. Eagles

Played four years of varsity hockey for Nobles … Played one season for Deerfield Academy in 2022-23 … Named the Nobles team captain during her senior season in 2021-22 … Skated with the Boston Jr. Eagles club hockey program from 2016-2022 … Awarded NEPSAC Honorable Mention honors for her performance on the ice with Deerfield in 2022-23 … Named the Deerfield team MVP after the 2022-23 season … Named All-ISL in ice hockey In 2020 … Won the ISL Championship six times with Nobles (2016-2017, 2019-2022) … Helped lead her team to New England Championships in 2017 and 2019 … Father Scott played hockey at the University of Vermont … Older sister, Jenna, is currently a junior for Harvard.
 

Brooke Manning

Played four years of varsity hockey for Nobles … Skated with the Boston Jr. Eagles club program from 2020-23 … Also played with the Bay State Breakers … Named captain of her Nobles team in 2022-23 … Named the Independent School League MVP in 2022-23 … Also was a part of the All-ISL and All-NEPSAC teams in 2023 … Earned the Boston Globe MVP award in hockey after the 2022-23 season … Netted Boston Globe and Boston Herald All-Scholastic honors in 2023 … Honored with an Academic Distinction in all four years of high school at Nobles.
 

Angelica Megdanis

Played four years of varsity hockey for the Taft School … Also lettered in soccer and lacrosse at Taft … Skated with the Mid Fairfield Stars club hockey program from 2020-23 … Also played with the New Canaan Winter Club team …. Won the Taft School Coach's Award after her senior year … Helped guide her team to the Championship game in 2022 … Honor Roll student … Co-Head of the Female Activism Club at Taft … Also lettered in lacrosse and soccer at Taft … Won the All-Founders League Award in Lacrosse … Named team captain of the lacrosse team in her senior year at Taft … Won the All-Founder League Soccer Award in 2022 and was named team captain.
 

Maria Pape

Played three years of varsity hockey at Shattuck St. Mary's Prep School … Played on the blueline as a defensewoman … Racked up 67 points in three season with Shattuck including 37 during her senior campaign … Named the team's captain in her senior season … Skated with Pittsburgh Penguins Elite teams from 2014-2020 … Also played on the AAA Tier 1 Cleveland Barons Elite Boys team from 2010-2020 … USA Women's Hockey U18 Development Camp invitee in 2021 … Was the MVP of the Championship game at the 2018 U14 World Selects Invitational, helping her team win the title … Was an alternate defensewoman at the National Team Development Program U18 National Festival in 2021 and 2022 … Qualified for 5 AAA Hockey National Championships (four girls, one boys) throughout her career … Won the AAA girls National Champion (2019 and 2023) Bronze (2021) Silver (2022) … Also a very talented golfer … Lettered in golf at Shattuck and at Laurel School for Girls … Was a four-time Canterbury Golf Club Girls Junior Club Champion (2019-2022) … Cleveland Synchronized Swimming Individual Champion 2021 with AquaStars … A high honors student in her junior and senior year … Earned a Merit-Based Scholarship for Yoga Prodigy Certification Program in 2022 and another Merit-Based Scholarship for College from Nucor in 2023 … Volunteered for a number of different organizations … Also enjoys playing golf, practicing yoga, art and singing.

Played four years of varsity hockey for Loomis Chaffee … Skated for the Mid Fairfield Stars club hockey program from 2019 until 2023 … Primarily plays on the blueline, but spent some time as a forward for the Stars … All-NEPSAC Honorable Mention in 2023 … Received the Loomis Chaffee Coach's Award after the 2022-23 season … USA Women's Hockey National Team Development Camp Invitee in 2019 and 2021 … Helped guide her team to a Founder's League Championship in 2021-22 … National Merit Scholar Finalist
