LONDON, England – Radcliffe lightweight rowing finished racing today at the Henley Royal Regatta. Coming off the Henley Women's Regatta in London and at the Holland Beker Regatta in Amsterdam over the last two weeks, Radcliffe faced off against Northeastern in the first round of The Island Challenge Cup.
The Black and White fell in its first-round matchup in a battle against Northeastern to wrap up competition at the Henley Royal Regatta.
Last weekend at the Holland Beker Regatta in Amsterdam, the pair of
Sophie Campbell and
Sisira Holbrook raced in an under-23 double,
Kristine Schwartz raced in an under-23 single, and
Meimei Weston and
Madelyn Brody in an open pair.
The double boat of
Sophie Campbell and
Sisira Holbrook battled to a solid second-place finish in the under-23 doubles race. The Black and White finished ahead of Belgium, Paraguay, De Hunze / Tromp, and Tromp / Willem III.
