Harvard-Radcliffe Lightweights Announce 2026 Spring Schedule

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Harvard-Radcliffe Lightweight Rowing has officially announced its 2026 spring schedule. The Black and White will compete in three regular-season regattas, including one home event, along with two postseason competitions.

In 2025, the team delivered a well-rounded showing at Eastern Sprints, with the varsity eight and four A each earned silver medals, the four B claimed bronze, and the varsity double placed sixth. At the IRA National Championships, the varsity eight capped off the season with a hard-fought silver in the grand final, marking the program's second consecutive podium finish in the premier event.

Harvard opens the 2026 season with a highly anticipated matchup against Princeton on Saturday, April 4, in Princeton, New Jersey. The Black and White will remain on the road and in the Garden State for the Knecht Cup on Saturday April 11, and Sunday, April 12. The team will also contest the Georgetown Cup within the race format. Last year, the varsity eight secured silver in a fast field, finishing just four seconds off Boston.

Harvard-Radcliffe will then host its only home regatta of the season, welcoming in-town foes Boston University and MIT to compete in the Beanpot on Saturday, April 18.

The Beanpot will conclude the regular season, before the team will travel to Worcester, Massachusetts to compete at the Women's Sprints from May 2-3. The season culminates with the IRA National Championships from May 29-31 in Sacramento, California.
