2022-23 Harvard Track and Field Season Recap

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The Harvard men's and women's track and field teams had extremely successful indoor and outdoor season from 2022-23, with multiple team and individual Ivy League Champions and three NCAA outdoor individual champions.

In the indoor season, the team broke 17 school records, while 26 student-athletes stood atop the podium at the Ivy League Championship meet, and the women's team won the team title. Six athletes qualified to travel to Albuquerque, New Mexico where they were all named All-Americans at the NCAA Indoor Championship.
 
Through the outdoor season, the Crimson continued to break records, putting 17 new marks in the record book. At the Ivy League Championship, Harvard took gold in 17 individual events and both the men's and women's teams won the team titles. This was the first time in Harvard history that both teams won the title, with the men's team's first win in 40 years and the women's team's sixth win ever.
 
39 athletes then qualified for the NCAA Regional meet and a program record 10 athletes headed to Austin, Texas for the NCAA Championship, where Kenneth Ikeji and Stephanie Ratcliffe won National Championships in the Hammer throw and Maia Ramsden won the Championship in the 1500-meter run. The Crimson earned nine All-American honors at the meet as the men's team finished 11th in the nation and the women's team finished 9th.
