CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard University men's soccer travels to Milwaukee, Wisconsin to take on Marquette University in its first road match of the 2023 season on Labor Day – Monday, Sept. 4 – at 3:00 p.m. ET/2:00 p.m. CT (FloFC) at Valley Fields, after posting a shutout in its season opener against Rhode Island on Friday.

- The Crimson will open a stretch of contests against back-to-back Big East opponents when it faces the Golden Eagles prior to a home matchup with Seton Hall on Sept. 9.
- In its home and season opener against Rhode Island (Sept. 1), the Crimson posted a shutout in a 0-0 draw with sophomore goalkeeper Lucian Wood earning his first career clean sheet.
- Senior defender Nik White and junior defender Jan Riecke anchored Harvard's back line in the shutout against the Rams, playing the full 90 minutes.
- Harvard is unbeaten in its last nine games (5-0-4) and has posted a 7-1-2 mark in its last 10 home games at Jordan Field.
- Harvard closed the 2022 season unbeaten in its last eight games (5-0-3) and undefeated in its last six Ivy League contests (3-0-3). The Crimson claimed third place in the Ivy League standings with 12 points, marking its highest finish in the conference table since 2015. Harvard concluded the 2022 season with a 7-1-1 record at home.
- As a team last fall, the Crimson ranked second in the NCAA in assists per game (3.00), eighth in points per game (7.35), fifth in shots on goal per game (7.71), sixth in shots per game (16.35), 10th in total assists (51), and 17th in goals per game (2.18).
- The Crimson returns three of its four All-Ivy selections from a year ago in midfielder Willem Ebbinge, midfielder Alessandro Arlotti, and defender Jan Riecke. All three student-athletes took home First Team All-Ivy last fall.
- Harvard returns its top three and six of its top seven point scorers from a year ago as well as six of its top seven goal scorers from last season. The Crimson brings back 29 of its 37 goals (78.4 percent) and 43 of its 51 assists (84.3 percent) from 2022.
- The Crimson brings back three of its four double-figure point scorers from last fall, including Willem Ebbinge (18 points, three goals, 12 assists), Alessandro Arlotti (17 points, five goals, seven assists), and Ale Gutierrez (13 points, six goals, one assist).
- Harvard and Marquette will meet for the first time in series history.
- Marquette brings a 3-0-0 mark into Monday's matchup behind victories over Drake (3-2), Purdue Fort Wayne (3-0), and Detroit Mercy (6-0) to open the season.
