CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard Women's Swimming and Diving resumes its 2023-24 slate on Saturday when it competes at Penn. The Ivy League dual meet is scheduled for a 10 a.m. ET start at Sheer Pool.
What to Know
- The Crimson will be in action for the first time in 2024 as a full squad. Last week, the Harvard divers appeared at No. 23 Florida State and won both events.
- Nina Janmyr captured the one-meter diving crown against the Seminoles, tallying a score of 322.50. Her performance was a season best. The sophomore later took third in the three-meter competition (296.70).
- Amy Wotovich, who finished in third place with a one-meter score of 274.58, won on the three-meter springboard. The junior's score of 324.15 was a personal best for 2023-24.
- For the Harvard swimmers, the meet vs. the Quakers will represent their first competition since competing at the Minnesota Invitational, Nov. 29-Dec. 2. The contest at Penn, meanwhile, is the Crimson's first dual since winning at Columbia back on Nov. 17.
- Harvard comes into the meet with a 3-1 overall record (3-1 Ivy). Penn is 3-5 on the season and 1-5 against Ivy foes. The Quakers will be at West Chester Friday evening before playing host to the Crimson.
- Harvard heads to the City of Brotherly Love with a 33-3 all-time series advantage over the Quakers. The Crimson have won 18 consecutive meetings vs. Penn.
