QUEENS, N.Y. – Harvard men's fencing returned to strip as a team with wins against Penn State and St. John's at the St. John's Invitational in Queens, N.Y. The Crimson is now 10-5 on the season heading into a pair of home dual meets against Duke and New York University. The men's epee team led all Harvard weapons in wins at the St. John's Invitational, going 28-17 on the day.
The day started with Harvard finding a way to win in a 14-13 contest against Penn State. Men's epee led the way against the Nittany Lions, accounting for seven of Harvard's 14 wins. First-year
Henry Lawson went undefeated with three wins.
Harvard would drop its next three matches against Ivy League foe Columbia, Notre Dame, and Ohio State.
Against the Buckeyes, the Crimson just missed out on the victory, losing 14-13. First-year saber fencer
Tommy Choi went 3-0 against Ohio State.
In its final match of the day, Harvard took down tournament host St. John's, 16-11. The men's foil team produced its best showing of the day against the Red Storm, fencing to seven wins.
HARVARD HIGHLIGHTS:

- First-year Daniel Zhang placed sixth at the Junior Men's Foil World Cup in Aix-En-Provence, France.
- Matthew Linsky recorded a 11th place finish at the Junior Saber World Cup in Boston, Mass.
