CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard Athletics is slated to have four events air live on NESN during the 2024-25 winter season, continuing its year-long affiliation with the network. The four upcoming games follow a fall campaign in which six different Crimson teams will have appeared on NESN.
Opening Harvard's winter slate on NESN will be its men's ice hockey team on Saturday, Nov. 16. The Crimson will play host to Cornell at 7 p.m. in a game that regularly draws sold-out crowds at Bright-Landry Hockey Center. Last season, Harvard split a pair of regular-season games with the Big Red, earning a 3-2 win over seventh-ranked Cornell in Ithaca, New York.
Three days later on Tuesday, Nov. 19, Harvard women's basketball will have its time in the spotlight as it will welcome cross-town foe Northeastern to Lavietes Pavilion for a 7 p.m. tip. The Crimson will enter the non-conference game having won six of the last eight matchups with the Huskies.
The focus will stay on the hardwood as the Harvard men's basketball team is scheduled to face in-state opponent UMass on Wednesday, Nov. 27, in an early afternoon contest. The Crimson will look to build upon last year's thrilling overtime road decision in a game that will begin at 4 p.m.
Harvard women's ice hockey will close out the Crimson's winter season on NESN with a home game vs. St. Lawrence. Puck drop is set for 3 p.m., on Saturday, Feb. 15, and will feature a Harvard side that split two games vs. the Saints last season, but is 4-1-1 in its last six against St. Lawrence.
Through the fall and winter seasons, Harvard will have appeared on NESN 10 times, with four yet-to-be-determined games slated for the spring. The teams that will be featured in the spring are baseball, men's and women's lacrosse, and softball. At the conclusion of Harvard's NESN schedule, 14 different teams, including eight women's programs, will have aired live on the network.
