Koskenvuo Named MAC Goaltending ECAC Goaltender of the Week

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – After an outstanding weekend between the pipes, Harvard men's ice hockey goaltender Aku Koskenvuo has been named the MAC Goaltending ECAC Goaltender of the Week for his performance in the Crimson's victories over Princeton and No. 15 Quinnipiac. The junior's stellar play earned him his second career ECAC weekly honor, following a pair of standout performances to help the Crimson secure two wins.

Koskenvuo started the weekend by delivering a clutch 23-save performance in Harvard's overtime win over Princeton, spoiling the Tigers' season opener. His timely saves, particularly in the latter stages of the game, played a pivotal role in the Crimson's first win of the season.

The Finland native took his game to another level in the second contest, recording a 25-save shutout to lead Harvard to a 4-0 victory over Quinnipiac. Koskenvuo's performance marked the first time the Bobcats had been shut out on their home ice since 2022 and just the third time in the last decade. The shutout also stood as the third of Koskenvuo's career.

The Crimson will look to build on this momentum when they return to the Bright-Landry Hockey Center this weekend for two home matchups. Harvard will host Colgate on Friday (Nov. 15) before taking on nationally ranked Cornell on Saturday (Nov. 16).
