No. 5 Men’s Squash Takes On No. 12 Dartmouth, No. 6 Virginia This Weekend

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Harvard men's squash team will return to action this weekend with another pair of matches against opponents ranked inside the CSA Top 15. The Crimson (2-0, 0-0 Ivy) will first travel to No. 12 Dartmouth (1-0) for a match on Wednesday (Dec. 4) before taking on No. 6 Virginia (2-2) to close out the semester at the Murr Center Squash Courts. Harvard will look to continue its strong start to the 2024-25 season this week before it pauses for the upcoming Winter break.

Last Time Out

  • The Crimson opened its 2024-25 season two weeks ago with a pair of victories at the Murr Center Squash Courts.
  • Harvard defeated No. 14 Western Ontario, 8-1, before defeating No. 10 Tufts, 7-2.
  • Five different members of the team recorded wins in straight sets over Western Ontario to lift the Crimson to its first winning result of the 2024-25 season.

The Top of the Ladder

  • David Costales and Denis Gilevskiy started strong in 2024-25, returning to their positions at the one and two spots, respectively. The duo combined for a record of 4-0 in the opening weekend, not dropping a single set over the two matches.
 

Up Next

Harvard will pause for the finals and holiday break for just over a month following its matches this week. The Crimson will be back in action on Jan. 11 and 12 when its travels to Columbia and Cornell.
