PRINCETON, N.J. – Harvard fencing juniors and team captains
Emily Vermeule and
Justin Liu earned spots on the Academic All-Ivy League team. The duo earns the honor for the first time in their Crimson careers.
Vermeule, a native of Cambridge, Mass., was excellent at the 2024 Ivy League Championships last weekend. The junior captured the Ivy League Women's Epee individual title, posting a tournament-high in wins with a 15-3 record. Vermeule is studying Government.
In men's run to the Ivy League Fencing Championships, Liu was critical down the stretch, as his two wins against Yale helped Harvard lift the Ivy League trophy. Liu's concentration is in computer science.
Harvard returns to the strip on Sunday, Mar. 10 for the NCAA Northeast Regionals, hosted by Long Island University.
