LEXINGTON, KY – No. 8 Harvard men's tennis dropped the first match of their Kentucky road trip by falling in a battle to No. 11 Kentucky, 2-5.
How it Happened
The match opened with the Wildcats claiming the doubles point with wins at the No. 1 and 2 positions.
Despite Kentucky picking up the first singles win of the day as well, the Crimson quickly got on the board as
Ronan Jachuck registered identical 6-3 sets at the No. 4 position to defeat Jaden Weekes (Kentucky). With the win, Jachuck continues his hot start to 2024, improving to 5-1 in singles action.
The Wildcats claimed another singles win and pulled within a victory of clinching by taking the No. 2 spot. Hoping to aid the Crimson come back,
Daniel Milavsky added another point with a his own come from behind performance at the No. 3 position. After falling 4-6 in the first set, Milavsky evened the score with a 6-3 second followed by not dropping a single game in the final set to close out the victory. The junior remains undefeated in singles action throughout dual season, improving to 5-0 in 2024 and 9-3 overall.
Kentucky closed out the match by grabbing the final two outstanding matches and No. 5 and 6 to solidify their 5-2 victory over the Crimson.
