Men’s Tennis Has Success Out West; Downs Pepperdine 4-1

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – No. 10 Harvard men's tennis cruised to a 4-1 victory over Pepperdine Friday night. With the win, the Crimson is on a five-game win streak.

How it Happened

Harvard took the doubles point to start off the match. After Pepperdine was able to take No. 1 doubles match, the duo of Daniel Milavsky and David Lins were able to bring the Crimson a match from clinching the doubles point with their 6-4 win.
 
In a close, set for set match, Alan Yim and Masato Perera were eventually able to secure the doubles point for the Crimson with seven tiebreaker points.
 
Moving into singles play, Daniel Milavsky easily took the first match at the No. 2 position. He dropped the least number of games of any Crimson player by winning in straight sets, 6-4, 6-2. 
 
In singles play, Rohan Murali finished next in a quick match to grab a second point for the Crimson. He bested Pepperdine's Zach Stephens in 6-3 and 6-4 victories.
 
Pepperdine's Pietro Fellini was able to defeat Ronan Jachuck at the No. 3 position to put a point on the board after 6-2 and 6-4 sets.
 
Clinching the point for the Crimson was Henry von der Schulenberg at the No. 1 spot. After a close 7-5 first set, von der Schulenberg finished strong in the second, downing Pepperdine's Edward Winter 6-2.
