CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard men's volleyball (10-6, 3-1 EIVA) will be back home to close out non-conference action following a five-match road stretch. Before locking back in on EIVA action, the Crimson will face Dominican University of New York on Saturday, March 23 at 5:00 p.m. ET at the Malkin Athletic Center.
What to Know
- After starting the season 1-4, the Crimson have won 10 of its last 12 contests, most recently downing Concordia University Irvine, 3-2, in its two-match road trip out west.
- Having been on a strong stretch through the middle of the season and by defeating No. 14 Princeton and No. 20 Daemen, the Crimson have been receiving votes in the last three AVCA polls.
- Owen Fanning (2.58), Logan Shepherd (2.22), and Zach Berty (2.02) are each averaging over two kills per set for the Crimson. Fanning is leading the way in the kills, having racked up 142 including a new career-high of 17 against No. 18 UC San Diego.
- James Bardin leads the team in both assists and aces with 508 and 14, respectively. Bardin has also accumulated 50 kills on the season with a .371 hitting percentage.
- Owen Woolbert ranks fifth in the EIVA in hitting percentage with 66 kills and a .333 hitting percentage throughout 44 sets.
- Ethan Smith ranks fifth in the league in blocks with 46 total across 50 sets for an average of 0.92 per set.
- The Crimson rank first in the EIVA in digs, totaling 537 on the season and averaging 8.52 per set. Logan Shepherd leads the way in the category and currently ranks third with 1.81 digs per set.
- Saturday's match up will be the first ever between Harvard and Dominican.
