NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Harvard track & field competed at the historic HY dual meet against Yale, as the Crimson men and women squads both dropped the team competition against the Bulldogs. The women tallied 74 team points compared to Yale's 88, while men recorded 64 team points in a 75-64 defeat.
HARVARD HIGHLIGHTS:
- The Crimson started the meet strong in the men's 4x100m relay, as a team of first-year Timi Esan, senior Lance Ward, sophomore Jonas Clarke, and senior Collin Fullen scored points after beating Yale with a time of 41.24.
- In the women's 1500m run, first-year and NCAA Indoor Championships qualifier in the 800m Sophia Gorriaran tallied points with a first-place finish, finishing the race in 4:31.72.
- Harvard took the top two spots in the women's 100m hurdles, as sophomore Fabiola Belibi took first with a time of 14.04, while senior Jada Johnson finished right behind her, posting a result of 14.66.
- First-Year Marta Amani bested the Bulldog runners in the women's 400m, finishing in firth after posting a time of 56.99.
- The women scored more points in the 100m dash, as senior Egbe Ndip-Agbor finished atop the podium with a time of 11.91. Fellow classmate Chrystal Aluya logged a third-place finish after crossing the finish line in 12.05.
- On the men's side, junior Joe Ewing added five points to the team tally in the 800m, as the Edinburgh, Scotland native posted a 1:57.35.
- Junior Chloe Fair won the women's 200m with a time of 24.73, as first-year Mickaila Haisley took second after finishing the sprint in 25.36.
- Over on the men's portion of the 200m, Clarke and Esan finished in second and third, respectively.
- First-Year Lily O'Donoghue-McDonald recorded five points, winning the women's 3000m with a time of 10:13.96.
- The Crimson swept the 3000m, as first-year Ethan Aidam won the distance event after producing a time of 8:53.85.
- Action on the track concluded with the men's 4x400, as Harvard finished strong, taking first place with a time of 3:22.77 from a squad of senior Aaron Shirley, senior Gregory Lapit, senior Maxwell Brown, and sophomore Ondrej Vesely.
- Over on the field events, first-year Emilia Kolokotroni won the women's hammer throw with an attempt of 58.42m (191'8"). Finishing in third place was first-year Alice Mihas with a throw of 50.03 (164'1").
- First-Year Milina Wepiwe tallied ten team points on her own, winning the women's shot put and discus throw.
- After a second place finish in the hurdles, senior Jada Johnson won the women's javelin with a toss of 31.22m (102'5").
- Junior Jeremiah Swett hit a season-best in the men's javelin, winning the event after posting a distance of 58.58m (191'10").
- In the men's long jump, senior Noah Miles produced the best jump of the field, taking first after a leap of 6.45m (21'2").
- The day ended with first-year Lilly Hodge winning the women's pole vault after clearing the bar at 4.07m (13'4.25").

The Crimson return to action next weekend, competing at three different meets. On Friday, Apr. 12, Harvard heads to Providence, R.I. for the Friar Invitational. The next day sees the Crimson take center stage at the UConn Northeast Challenge. Select student-athletes will travel south for the Duke Invitational on Thursday, Apr. 11 – Saturday, Apr. 13.
