PRINCETON, N.J. – The Ivy League announced its end of the year honors this morning, as first-year infielder
Sophie Sun won Ivy League Player of the Year and Ivy League Rookie of the Year honors. Sun is just the seventh Crimson to take home Ivy League Player of the Year honors and is the ninth student-athlete in program history to earn Ivy League Rookie of the Year. Sun is the first student-athlete in conference history to win Ivy League Rookie of the Year and Player of the Year in the same campaign.

Nicolette Hunter received All-Ivy League honorable mention recognition.
Harvard's star shortstop, Sun is a premier young talent in the nation. An NFCA Freshman of the Year Top 25 List selection, Sun's .833 slugging percentage leads all first-year student-athletes in the NCAA, while her .430 batting average is second among all first-years in the country. In 38 starts, Sun leads the Ivy League in batting average (.430), OPS (1.318), total bases (95), slugging percentage (.833), and is tied for first in hits (49), doubles (12), and home runs (10).
One of the Crimson's team captains, Bobowski earns first team All-Ivy League honors for the second time in her illustrious collegiate career. A native of Macomb, Michigan, Bobowski is third in the Ivy League in runs scored (32) and is sixth in hits with 43. Across 138 appearances in her Crimson tenure, Bobowski has a .309 career batting average with 128 hits. An excellent fielder, Bobowski was perfect defensively this season, owning a 1.000 fielding percentage.
Another one of Harvard's team captains, Fitzpatrick garners first team All-Ivy League recognition for the first time. Starting games in the outfield, at catcher, and at designated player this season, Fitzpatrick posted a .337 batting average and drove in 27 runs, two marks that rank in the top-15 in the Ancient Eight this season.
One of the best pitchers in program history, Reed is selected to an All-Ivy League team for the second time in her career. A native of San Luis Obispo, California, Reed was stellar in the circle during the regular season, as her 2.13 earned run average is second in the Ivy League and is a career-best. Reed made history earlier this season, tossing a five-inning no-hitter in an 11-0 win against Columbia.
A breakout hitter for first year head coach
Jenny Rohn this season, Kaul receives All-Ivy League honors for the first time in her career. A native of Plainsboro, N.J., Kaul manufactured a career-high .400 batting average, a mark that is third in the Ivy League this season. Against conference foes, Kaul produced a .446 batting average and a 1.010 OPS.
Douglas, another impressive hitter for the Crimson, is an All-Ivy League honoree for the first time. A native of Charlotte, N.C., Douglas posted career-best .327 batting average, which is 16
th in the Ivy League this season. She is also tied for the conference lead in doubles this season with 12.
A true leader at first base, Mays is now a three-time All-Ivy League honoree, as the Crimson team captain picks up All-Ivy League Second Teams for the second time in her career. Mays launched a career-best six home runs this year, owning a .319 batting average while bringing home 24 runs.
Hunter caps off her first season in Cambridge by earning All-Ivy League honorable mention. A first-year phenom, Hunter led the Ivy League in ERA this season, posting a 2.09 mark over 67.0 innings of work.
