Football’s Morris ’03 on 2025 College Football Hall of Fame Ballot

IRVING, Texas – Former Harvard football standout Carl Morris '03 is on the 2025 ballot for induction into the College Football Hall of Fame, the National Football Foundation (NFF) and College Hall of Fame announced today. Morris is one of 101 players up for induction from the divisional ranks.
 
Morris is looking to become the first Crimson player to be inducted into the Hall of Fame since Pat McInally '75 in January 2016.
 
The wide receiver was part of the 2001 undefeated and Ivy League championship Crimson squad, which was the first Harvard team to finish with a perfect season in 88 years. Helping Harvard to a 26-13 four-year mark, Morris holds the No. 1 spot in the Crimson record book in career, single-season and single-game receptions, career and season touchdown receptions, and career yards gained, yards gained in a season and most yards in a single game. Morris also ranks fourth all-time in Ivy League history with 3,508 career receiving yards and holds the Ivy record for career 200-yard games (3), while ranking second with 15 100-yard games (Ivy rankings entering 2023 campaign).
 
The Sterling, Virginia product was an Associated Press All-America first-team selection, AFCA All-America first-team performer and Sports Network All-America second-team honoree in 2001. The first two-time Ivy League Player of the Year/Asa S. Bushnell Cup winner from Harvard, Morris played from 2003-04 for the Miami Dolphins and in 2004-05 for the San Diego Chargers. 
 
The announcement of the 2025 College Football Hall of Fame Class will be made in early 2025, with specific details to be announced in the future. 
 
The 2025 College Football Hall of Fame Class will be officially inducted during the 67th NFF Annual Awards Dinner Presented by Las Vegas on Dec. 9, 2025, at the Bellagio Hotel & Resort. The class will also be honored at each respective school with an NFF Hall of Fame On-Campus Salute, presented by Fidelity Investments, during the 2025 season.
