CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Ahead of the 2024 Fall Season, Harvard men's golf is excited to announce its three-member incoming recruiting class that is set to join the Class of 2028. William Ma, Barry Zhang and Ieuan Jones make up the group that is among the top-10 strongest incoming classes in collegiate men's golf.  
 
"Harvard Men's Golf is thrilled to welcome William, Barry, and Ieuan to Cambridge this fall," said Kevin Rhoads, the Bobby Jones '24 Head Coach for Harvard Men's Golf. "They each bring strong competitive experience and a record of producing championship golf, winning on an individual basis while also leading their high schools to team championships. They align very well with our culture and their power, creativity, short game, motivation and mentality can transfer to results at this level right away. We look forward to integrating them with an already strong team and accomplishing great things together."
 
The group combines three players who are ranked in the top 150 of the Junior Golf Rankings. All three newcomers have also experienced success while playing in American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) or other high-level junior tournaments.
 
The 10^th best recruiting class in the nation according to College Golf Commits will join the Crimson when it begins its Fall competition schedule in September.

Barry Zhang – Winter Garden, Fla. – Lake Mary Preparatory School

Achievements and Accolades

• Varsity Boys Golf, Team MVP in three consecutive seasons from 2021-2023.
• Helped guide his team to a Division 1A State Championship title in 2020.

Tournament Success

• Won the district championship in all four years of high school from 2020-2023.
• Captured the Individual Regional Championship in 2021 and 2022.
• Won the Division 1A Individual District Championship in 2020 and 2023.
• Competed in a number of junior events, securing nine top-20 finishes dating back to 2022.
• 2023 AJGA Junior at Chicopee presented by John D. Mineck Foundation Champion.

Ieuan Jones – Ann Arbor, Mich. – Ann Arbor Skyline High School

• Michigan State Championship Individual Runner Up in 2021.

Harvard men's golf is set to return to the course this September for what should be another exciting and competitive season. Seniors Jeff Fang and Diego Saavedra-Davila will look to lead a good mix of experienced and talented golfers to more success when the team gets back on campus later this Summer.
