INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The 2026 Ivy League Champion Harvard men's golf team has learned its next destination after securing the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Championship last week. The Crimson was selected Wednesday to compete at the NCAA Men's Golf Athens Regional, hosted by the University of Georgia from May 18-20 at the University of Georgia Golf Course.
Harvard earned its place in the NCAA postseason after capturing the Ivy League Championship, the program's first conference title since 2017. The victory marked a major milestone for the Crimson and secured the program's return to NCAA regional competition. The Athens Regional is one of six NCAA regional sites taking place across the country, with top teams and individuals advancing to the NCAA Championship later this month. Harvard will compete against some of the nation's premier programs as it looks to continue its historic postseason run.
The Crimson enters regional play carrying momentum from a strong spring season and a breakthrough performance at the Ivy League Championship. In its three Spring tournaments, Harvard did not finish below fourth place and captured back-to-back tournament victories at the Princeton Invitational (Apr. 11-12) and the Ivy League Championships (Apr. 24-26).
Additional information regarding pairings, tee times, and live scoring for the Athens Regional will be announced as it becomes available.
