CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – After a historic 2023-24 season that saw the Crimson lift the NCAA national championship trophy for the first time since 2006, Harvard fencing returns to the strip this season with an exciting slate of contests and tournaments for the 2024-25 season.
The campaign begins out west in the Golden State, as Harvard travels to San Diego, California for the Western Invitational. UC San Diego will host the marquee season opening tournament on Saturday, Nov. 2 and Sunday, Nov. 3. Harvard closes out the month of November with the historic Beanpot, as Boston College will host the long-running tournament on Wednesday, Nov. 13.
Harvard returns to collegiate competition on Saturday, Jan. 18, as the Crimson head to the Empire State for the prestigious St. John's Invitational in Queens, N.Y.
Crimson fans will get a chance to see the defending National Champions live and in person at the Malkin Athletic Center on Saturday, Feb. 1, as Harvard hosts Duke and New York University for a pair of dual meets in the fencing room.
The next week sees Harvard enter postseason competition the next week, as the Crimson travel to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for the 2025 Ivy League Championships on Saturday, Feb. 8 and Sunday, Feb. 9, as the men look to defend their shared Ivy League Championship.
Harvard begins its march in defending the NCAA National Championship on Saturday, Mar. 8, as the Crimson compete in the NCAA Northeast Regional Championships at Tufts. Penn State will host the 2025 NCAA Fencing Championships, starting on Thursday, Mar. 20 and ending on Sunday, Mar. 23.
Along with the collegiate slate, several Crimson fencer will also feature at a pair of national competitions. From Thursday, Jan. 2 to Sunday, Jan. 5, Harvard fencers will head to Kansas City, Missouri for the January North America Cup, followed by the April North America Cup from Thursday, Apr. 11 to Sunday, Apr. 14.
Harvard will also travel to Connecticut for the Sacred Heart Invitational on a date to be determined.
