CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard Sailing captured the Danmark Trophy for a second straight season and recorded three additional upper-half team finishes, including a runner-up performance at the Women's Atlantic Coast Championship – Round 1. The Crimson also finished fourth of 17 schools at the Moody Trophy and seventh of 18 at the BU Invitational.

The Crimson's A-Division sailors
Justin Callahan and
Kennedy Leehealey finished first among their competitors with an 8-race score of 36. The duo went 3-4-5-3 in the first four races before topping the field in Races 5-6. They finished the final two competitions with a 16-3 to secure their spot atop the A-boat team standings. The B-sailing pairing of
Mitchell Callahan and
Alexandra Dorofeev, meanwhile, was the runner-up in Races 1, 3 and 5. They ultimately posted seven top-10 performances en route to a 54. Harvard, which had
Xavier Ayala-Vermont and
Aidan Pesce waiting in the wings as reserves, finished with 90 points, 19 points better than the hosts and second-place U.S. Coast Guard.
Women's Atlantic Coast Championship – Round 1 | New London, Conn.
Zoey Ziskind,
Christina Chen (1-10) and
Peyton Hadfield (11-14) represented Harvard in the B-Division and took first after an outstanding showing on the water. The trio finished among the top-5 in 10 of 11 races, including victories in Races 2, 6, 7 and 10. The lone non-top-5 performance was a ninth-place effort in Race 5.
Cordelia Burn and
Margo Silliman came in fifth place in the A-Division after seven top-6 finishes. The Crimson B-boat logged a 32, with the A-group posting a score of 72. Harvard's 104 points trailed only Stanford and its 81.

Harvard's B-boat of
Harrison Strom and
Katherine Shin posted an 11-race score of 43, to finish in first place in its division. The pairing never finished below eighth place and crossed the finish line first in Races 1, 4, 8. The Race-8 victory spurred a 1-2-3 performance before closing the regatta with an eighth-place effort. The Crimson A-boat split skipper and crew duties over the course of the two-day event, with
Robby Meek and
JJ Drummond handling Races 1-8, and
Kate Danielson and
Amelie Zucker sailing in Races 9-11. Meek-Drummond notched five top-4 performances, which was highlighted by a runner-up finish in Race 4. Danielson-Zucker wrapped up their time in Kingston with a 3-15-16 to put the finishing touches on a A-Division score of 92. The Crimson's score of 135, followed only Brown 1 (107), Roger Williams (113) and Bowdoin (130).
BU Invitational | Boston, Mass.
Olivia Hogan-Lopez and
Julia Downey competed in the A-Division, with
Theresa Straw and
Catherine Li occupying the B-boat at the 1-day BU Invitational. Hogan-Lopez and Downey logged the Crimson's best finish of the day, coming in second place in Race 2. The duo was a top-8 finisher in five of six races, ending the day with a score of 43. Straw and Li, meanwhile, never finished outside the top-9 en route to a 40. Harvard's cumulative score of 83, trailed Tufts 1 (36), Brown 2 (53), Brown 1 (53), Roger Williams (76), Boston College (81) and Tufts 4 (82).
Up Next
Harvard is scheduled to appear at three regattas this weekend, Oct. 5-6. The Crimson will make the long trip south to St. Mary's City, Maryland, for the Open Atlantic Coast Championship – Round 1, while making a much shorter trip to the south to sail at the Stu Nelson Trophy in New London, Connecticut. Harvard will additionally send a contingent north to Brunswick, Maine, for the Hewitt Trophy.
