CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard Men's Heavyweight Rowing has announced its 2025 spring racing schedule. The Crimson will compete in eight events, including two home regattas, three away races, two postseason competitions, and the annual Harvard-Yale Regatta.
Harvard opens the season on Friday and Saturday, March 28-29, at the Sarasota Invitational. The team will compete for the Stein Cup against Brown and the Bolles Cup against the University of Washington. The Crimson will look to defend its title in the first varsity eight after winning the invitational last season in a highly competitive field.
On Saturday, April 5, Harvard will travel to Cornell to race for the Robinson Cup. The Crimson will then continue its road trip at Princeton, competing for the Compton Cup on Saturday, April 19.
The heavyweights will host its first home event in Cambridge on Saturday, April 26, against Navy and Penn for the Adams Cup and Clothier Cup.
The Crimson will host its second and final home regatta of the season on Saturday, May 3, against Boston rival Northeastern in the battle for the Smith Cup.
The rowing postseason begins on Sunday, May 18, at the Eastern Sprints Regatta in Worcester. The IRA Championships will follow on May 30-June 1 in Camden, N.J. The Crimson finished second last season in the first varsity eight.
To close out the season, Harvard will compete in the 158th Harvard-Yale Regatta in New London, Connecticut, aiming to defend its victory in the first varsity eight from last year.
