CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The No. 6 Harvard men's squash team put up a fight tonight against the No. 4 Trinity Bantams but could not overcome an early deficit, falling to its rival by a score of 3-6. The Crimson (5-2, 3-0 Ivy) got three victories from the trio of
Denis Gilevskiy,
Neel Joshi and
Segev Rome in the match that was played in front a large crowd at the Murr Center Squash Courts.
In the first wave of matches,
Denis Gilevskiy got the Crimson on the scoreboard with a 3-1 win from the second position on the ladder. Trinity took the other two matches at the six and eight matches to build a 2-1 lead over Harvard after the first three matches.
Trinity added to its lead in the second wave with wins at the first and seventh matches.
Neel Joshi fought back for the Crimson, earning a 3-1 win at the third position, to push the score to 4-2 in favor of the Bantams. Trinity would go on to clinch the match with a win at the ninth pairing.
Harvard would add one more win to its total courtesy of first-year
Segev Rome, who earned a 3-2 win at the fifth spot on the ladder.
