CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard track & field kicked the weekend off with an eventful day at the Harvard Invitational and the Terrier Classic at Boston University, as two school records were set.
In the women's 800m at the Terrier Classic, senior
Victoria Bossong produced a stellar performance at the BU Track & Tennis Center, setting a new program record with a time of 2:00.79. An All-America Second Team honoree in the outdoor 800m last season, Bossong's time at the Terrier Classic is the third-fastest in the nation this season and ranks no. 9 all-time nationally.

Sophia Gorriaran in setting a new school record in the women's 4x400m relay, as quartet won the event at the Terrier Classic with a time of 3:31.57. With that result, Harvard moves up to No. 4 on the national performance list this season.
HARVARD INVITATIONAL HARVARD HIGHLIGHTS:
- At Gordon Indoor Track, sophomore Chris Ruano finished in fourth after clearing 1.87m (6'1.5").
- In the men's shot put, two Crimson impressed, slotting into the top-three of the final standings. On his first throw of the afternoon, sophomore Isaac Delaney found the winner, taking first place with a mark of 16.61m (54'6"). Senior Eros Bottino picked up third place with a throw of 14.88m (48'10").
- First-Year Philip Andreas Kubon earned a win in the men's pole vault, clearing the bar at 5.25m (17'2.75"), setting a new collegiate career best.
- Sophomore Zane Wallace gained a third place finish in the men's triple jump with an attempt of 12.89m (42'3.5").
- Harvard had one representative in the men's 200m, as senior Peter Fischer finished in second after crossing the finish line in 21.86, a personal-best mark for the Harrison, New York native.
- The men's 60m hurdles saw sophomore Simon Weiser cross the finish line in 8.13, taking third place in the process.
- The evening concluded with the men's 60m, as first-year LeRoy Horton finished in third with a time of 6.78.
TERRIER CLASSIC HARVARD HIGHLIGHTS:
- The day at the BU Track & Tennis Center started on a high note in the women's 400m, as Fair won the event with a time of 52.96, a new personal-best for the Suwanee, Georgia native.
- Bossong made a statement in the second heat of the women's 800m, setting a new school record with a time of 2:00.79, taking fourth place and third place among collegiate athletes.
- A native of Cumberland Foreside, Maine, Bossong's time ranks third in the nation this season and is second all-time in Ivy League history.
- In the first heat, sophomore Sophia Gorriaran posted a time of 2:02.23 for a 12th place finish, as that time ranks fifth in the nation this year.
- The women's 200m saw the Crimson earn another win, as senior Izzy Goudros took first place with a personal-best time of 23.47, the top time in the Ivy League this season.
- Two more Crimson finished in the top-10 of the women's 200m. Junior Mfoniso Andrew finished in fifth with a season-best time of 24.40, as first-year Ella Cooper took ninth with a time of 24.51.
- Several Crimson made their track & field season debuts with strong showings in the women's 1000m.
- First-Year Abigail Sadler led the way with a sixth place finish, posting a time of 2:48.67. Two more Crimson finished in the top-20, as senior Marianne Mihas took 16th with a time of 2:52.42, as sophomore Samira Kennedy posted a personal-best 2:52.61 to take 17th. First-Year Katelyn Matarese rounded out Harvard's 1000m performances with a 21st place finish, crossing the finish line in 2:54.09.
- Harvard's women's 4x400m relay team of Fair, Goudros, Gorriaran and Bossong were dominant at the Terrier Classic, winning the event by over eight seconds with a time of 3:31.57. With that mark, the Crimson quartet set a new school record and moved up to No. 4 on the national performance list.
- Senior Ellaney Matarese wrapped up the action at the Terrier Classic with a 56th place finish in the women's 3000m, crossing the finish line in 9:42.21.
