CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard women's basketball (2-3) will continue its eight-game road stretch as it heads down the road to Chestnut Hill, Mass. to face Boston College on Wednesday, November 19 at 6:00 p.m. ET in Conte Forum.
What to Know
- The Crimson 2025-26 season will be comprised of 13 non-conference and its annual 14-game Ivy League slate. Harvard will play nine of its non-conference games in November and eight of them will take place outside of Cambridge, Mass.
- Last weekend the Crimson went 1-1 at the Raising the B.A.R. Invitational hosted by the University of California-Berkeley.
- In the first game Harvard blew past Oakland, 93-55. As a team the Crimson shot 50% (29-of-58) from the field and 57.1% (16-of-28) from distance to score its most points in a single game since March 16, 2023. Harvard also tied for the second-most threes in a single game in program history with 16.
- The following night, Harvard fell to Cal 76-65. By averaging 17.0 points, 56.5% shooting, 5.5 rebounds, and 1.0 steals Karlee White was named to the Raising the B.A.R. Invitational All-Tournament Team.
- While having a career-year already White ranks fifth in field goal percentage (57.8%) seventh in scoring (15.4), and 14th in steals (1.6) and rebounds (5.4) in the Ivy League.
- Abigail Wright is also putting up career numbers and ranks first in offensive rebounds (20), 10th in total rebounds (6.6) and scoring (14.0), and 12th in assists (3.3) in the conference.
- Lastly, Gabby Anderson is continuing her gritty play, ranking second in offensive rebounds (19), ninth in rebounds (7.0), and 10th in steals (1.8) in the league.
- Following the opening week of action, Olivia Jones was named the first Ivy League Rookie of the Week by averaging 7.5 points and 5.5 rebounds.
- Harvard is coming off arguably its best season in program history in 2024-25 as it accumulated a program-record 24 wins, won its first Ivy League Tournament Championship in program history, and returned to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2007.
- Despite losing two historic players and its top scorers in Harmoni Turner and Elena Rodriguez the Crimson still welcomed back 11 players from its championship roster and added five first-years in a highly touted recruiting class.
- Jones, Aubrey Shaw, Maya Nahar, Ava Krumwiede, and Sam Wills make up Harvard's Class of 2029. Prior to arriving in Cambridge, Shaw was a top-65 recruit out of Blue Valley North High School in Kansas.
- As a part of its returners, the Crimson is led by its trio of seniors in Anderson, Saniyah Glenn-Bello, and Katie Krupa. The senior class brings experience, scoring, defensive prowess, and All-Ivy accolades from their first three years with Harvard.
- Moore has continued to lead the Crimson back into the national spotlight and build her legacy at the helm of the program. The fourth-year coach has the most wins in the first three season for a head coach in program history.
- Prior to this season, Moore was named to the preseason watch list for the 2026 Kathy Delaney-Smith Mid-Major Coach of the Year award. Moore was one of five finalists for the award last season.
- In the first Mid-Major Top 25, Harvard ranked second in the poll while receiving six first-place votes. Despite no longer receiving first place votes in the second week, the Crimson still landed at No. 2 in the poll.
- The Crimson was picked to finish third in the Ivy League Preseason Poll, receiving 126 points, including on first-place vote. Harvard trailed only Princeton (163) and Columbia (147).
- Harvard holds a slight advantage in the all-time series against the Eagles, having won 11 of the 21 match ups.
- The Crimson on a current three-game win streak against Boston College.
- Last season 78-70 win over the Eagles in Lavietes Pavilion came in record breaking fashion as Turner set a new program record for single game scoring.
- Turner led the Crimson with a historic 41 points on 14-of-23 shooting.
- The two teams meeting two season ago was also an instant classic as Harvard came back from down 19 to defeat the Eagles on their home floor.
