CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard women's basketball enjoyed another strong year under head coach,
Carrie Moore.
For the third time in four years the Crimson recorded 20 wins. Additionally, the Crimson tallied 10 Ivy wins in back-to-back seasons for the first time in over a decade.
In the postseason, Harvard recorded its fourth upset in Ivy Madness history, besting Columbia in overtime in the semifinals. With the thrilling win, the Crimson advanced to its third Ivy League Tournament Championship in four years.
Despite falling in the Ivy League Championship game, the Crimson received a bid to the Women's Basketball Invitation Tournament. Harvard advanced to the quarterfinals of the tournament after defeating Navy and Eastern Kentucky convincingly on its home court.
It was a new look team for the Crimson this season as players stepping into new leading roles. Harvard was led by its junior captains,
Karlee White and
Abigail Wright. The duo led the Crimson in scoring and went on to receive unanimous First Team and Second Team All-Ivy nods, respectively.
Harvard also had the rise of a new talent in the league welcoming
Olivia Jones in its Class of 2029. The Pennsylvania native took home the Ivy League Rookie of the Year award by unanimous selection.
The Crimson said goodbye to a strong senior class comprised of
Katie Krupa,
Saniyah Glenn-Bello, and
Gabby Anderson but is poised for another strong season as it welcomes back the core of its lineup.
