CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard Men's Swimming and Diving will hit the road for a Friday evening date at Columbia. The Ivy League meet is scheduled for Percy Uris Natatorium, with the action beginning at 5 p.m. ET.
What to Know
- Harvard is 3-0 this season and 2-0 in the Ivy League after taking down Dartmouth (217-82) and Cornell (215-85) last Friday in Hanover, New Hampshire. The Crimson began its season a week prior to its trip to Dartmouth, defeating Massachusetts, 220.50-77.50.
- Joshua Chen set a Dartmouth pool record in the 100 breast, winning the event in 53.76, and in the 200 breast (1:57.65). In the 200 fly, David Schmitt (1:44.14) and Ognjen Pilipovic (1:45.37) posted the two fastest times in pool history. Ognjen's first-year classmates Pablo Martinez and Maro Miknic, meanwhile, set pool records in the 500 free (4:22.60) and 100 fly (46.65), respectively. The 200 free relay (Sonny Wang, Marre Gattnar, Evan Croley, David Greeley), for good measure, finished the day with a pool-record time of 1:19.04.
- The Crimson will look to improve to 4-0 on the season for the second straight season.
- Harvard takes a 74-5 all-time record vs. the Lions into Friday's meet. The Crimson has won 18 consecutive dual meets vs. Columbia.
- The last time Harvard visited Columbia, it emerged with a 167-131 victory in 2023.
- Columbia is 1-2 this season with all of its meets coming against Ivy League competition. The Lions opened the year with a road win at Penn (166-134), but dropped duals at Princeton (225-75) and at home vs. Yale (194-106) on back-to-back days last week.
