PRINCETON, N.J. – For the third time this season, No. 3 Harvard field hockey's junior forward
Sage Piekarski is the Ivy League's Offensive Player of the Week after powering the Crimson in a key win against No. 16 Yale over the weekend.
In the Crimson's regular season finale, Piekarski was instrumental, as the Concord, Massachusetts native netted both of Harvard's goals in a 2-1 victory against the Bulldogs. Piekarski's first goal came off the counter attack, as she fought off a Yale defender and then slotted the chance home. Piekarski then connect with sophomore forward
Emily Bronckers on a cross for the second goal of the day.
A two-time All-Ivy League honoree, Piekarski is orchestrating a career year for the Crimson, as she has already tallied career-highs in goals (12), points (27) and tied her career high in assists with three. Heading into the Ivy League Tournament, Piekarski is the Ivy League's leading goal scorer, as the last time a Crimson led the Ivy League in goals was in 2022. Piekarski is also the first Crimson to tally 10 or more goals and 20 or more points in a season since senior defender
Bronte-May Brough did so in 2022.
Harvard ended the 2025 regular season with a 16-0 record, marking the first perfect regular season in Ivy League history. The Crimson begin the postseason with the semifinal round of the 2025 Ivy League Tournament, as Harvard hosts Brown for an 11:30 a.m. clash on Friday, Nov. 7.
