CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – First-year forward Heikki Ruohonen has been named to Finland's roster for the upcoming 2026 IIHF World Junior Championship in Minnesota.
This will be Ruohonen's second appearance in the tournament. With Harvard this season, he has centered the all-rookie line alongside Aidan Lane and Richard Gallant through the first 11 games, with the trio combining for 17 points to date.
Ruohonen has recorded five points in the first half of the season, including the game-tying goal in Harvard's 2-1 road victory over Clarkson earlier this year.
A native of Helsinki, Ruohonen tallied four points in seven games at last year's World Junior Championship, helping Finland capture a silver medal, and is the first Crimson to play in the tournament since Aku Koskenvuo also played for Finland in 2022-23.
Finland opens the tournament against Denmark on Dec. 26.
