CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard Football's
Jack Baade has been named to the 2025 Stats Perform FCS Freshman All-America Team. The first-year long snapper was instrumental in the success of the Crimson's special teams unit.
A native of Fort Mill, South Carolina, Baade was part of a kicking group that went a combined 12-for-14 on field-goal attempts and 47-for-48 on point-after attempts in 2025. Harvard was a perfect 10-for-10 inside the 40-yard line and nailed its only 50-yard attempt – a 53-yarder from
Kieran Corr as time expired to lift the Crimson past Penn to clinch at least a share of its third straight Ivy League title. Harvard was also perfect on PATs the final nine games of the campaign.
In addition to the near-automatic status of the kicking unit, Baade's performance was also integral in Harvard not having a field goal, PAT or punt blocked all season.
Baade is the fifth Crimson first-year since 2019 to garner Freshman All-America status. Aidan Borguet was a HERO Sports Freshman All-American in 2019, and was followed by Thor Griffith in 2021 (HERO Sports, FCS Football Central, Phil Steele), and
Xaviah Bascon (Phil Steele) and
Damien Henderson (FCS Football Central, Phil Steele) in 2023. Baade is also the first Harvard player to be listed as a long snapper and earn All-America status.
Harvard is coming off a year that saw it earn a national ranking for a majority of the campaign, including a top-10 mark the final three weeks of the regular season. The Crimson posted a 9-2 record (6-1 Ivy) and earned an at-large bid to the NCAA FCS Playoffs in the Ivy League's first season of eligibility.
