CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard women's basketball (6-6) will welcome the Delaware Blue Hens (6-5) to Cambridge for its 2025 and non-conference finale on Monday, December 29. The Crimson's final of four straight home games will tip-off at 1:00 p.m. ET in Lavietes Pavilion and one ESPN+.
What to Know
- The Crimson's 2025-26 season is comprised of 13 non-conference games and its annual 14-game Ivy League slate. Harvard played nine of its non-conference games in November and eight of them took place outside Cambridge, Mass.
- Overall, the Crimson went 4-5 in the first month of action. Harvard has faced a stacked schedule so far, having faced five power conference opponents including Michigan (Big Ten), Cal (ACC), Boston College (ACC), Alabama (SEC), and Arkansas (SEC).
- Most recently, Harvard fell in a heartbreaker to Maine prior to the holiday break. Following a last second Black Bears bucket, the Crimson fell, 59-57.
- Against Maine Abigail Wright led all scorers with 22 points and nine boards. It was the second straight 20-piece for the junior who is currently leading the Crimson in scoring.
- Saniyah Glenn-Bello again stuffed the stat sheet by recording 12 points, seven rebounds, two assists, and four blocks.
- Karlee White made her return against the Black Bears after going down against Boston College more than a month ago. Prior to the injury the junior was already having a breakout season by averaging 14.2 points on 58.0% shooting and 1.7 steals.
- Overall, Wright is putting up career numbers and ranks fourth in scoring (15.2) and sixth in rebounds (7.1) in the Ivy League. Nationally, the Massachusetts native ranks as the seventh best offense rebounder by averaging 4.5 per game.
- Glenn-Bello and Katie Krupa are combined to defend the rim for the Crimson as either ranks inside the top 10 for blocks in the conference. The seniors average 1.5 and 1.2 blocks per game, respectively.
- Prior to the season, the Crimson elected juniors, White and Wright as captains of the 2025-26 Harvard women's basketball team.
- To open the year, Carrie Moore, the Kathy Delaney-Smith Head Coach for Harvard Women's Basketball; The Ragatz Family Harvard Coach of Excellence, was named to the preseason watch list for the 2026 Kathy Delaney-Smith Mid-Major Coach of the Year Award. Moore was one of five finalists for the award last season.
- In the first NET Rankings of the 2025-26 season, Harvard checked in at 68. The Crimson currently checks in at 77 and has the third-best NET in the Ivy League, trailing only Columbia at 70 and Princeton at 38.
- The Crimson was picked to finish third in the Ivy league Preseason Poll, receiving 126 points, including one first-place vote. Harvard trailed only Princeton (163) and Columbia (147).
- Harvard has won the only 2-0 meetings between the two teams.
- Last season the contest between the Crimson and the Blue Hens was cancelled and the year prior Harvard defeated Delaware by 30-points in the final game of 2023.
