Men’s Tennis Travels to Philadelphia for the ECAC Championships

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard men's tennis will travel to Philadelphia, Pa. this weekend to compete at the ECAC Championships beginning against Brown on Friday, February 14 at 9:00 a.m. ET. 

What to Know

  • The Crimson, who is looking to capture its first ECAC Championship since 2022 and its 24th total, will compete as the top-seed in the tournament. 
  • In its last time out, Harvard got back into the win column with a dominant 6-1 win over Louisville. 
  • Against the Cardinals the Crimson began the day by grabbing the doubles point of which they've done in all but one match this season.   
  • Daniel Milavsky and Valdemar Pape have had dominant individual stretches to open the season, each leading the team with 6-2 dual season records. 
  • In the most recent ITA Division I Men's Rankings the Crimson received three nods across the singles and doubles polls beginning with Milavsky checking in at No. 28 and first-year Benjamin Privara following at No. 86.  Privara also landed in the doubles rankings at No. 21 alongside partner, Masato Perera.
  • The nationally ranked duo of Privara and Perera have complied a perfect 5-0 record to begin the 2025 spring season. 
  • The Crimson have been dominant against the Brown Bears, having only falling seven times across 95 total meetings. 
  • Additionally, Harvard has not lost to Brown his 2013, having won the last 13 match ups between the two teams.

Pending the results of day one, the Crimson will either face off against Penn or Yale in the 9:00 a.m. or 3:00 p.m. slot.
