PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Harvard men's tennis (6-3) advanced to the semifinals of the ECAC Championships this morning by defeating Brown (8-3), 4-1.
The Crimson won its fourth straight doubles point and its eighth total of the season to gather an early lead against the Bears. Harvard provided convincing victories in its two completed doubles matches with 6-2 and 6-3 results at court two and three, respectively.
Daniel Milavsky continues to dominate at the top singles spot, collecting his second win of the day and growing the Crimson lead to 2-0 by defeating Alex Finkelstein (Brown), 6-2, 6-3.
Rohan Murali followed closely behind, pulling Harvard within a point of winning the match with a 6-4, 6-1 decision over Luka Phimvongsa (Brown) at court four.
The Bears were able to get on the board with a victory at the No. 2 spot but
Marc Ktiri ultimately provided the decisive win for the second consecutive match by beating Zander Bravo, 6-4, 6-3 at the No. 6 position.
