CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Harvard women's basketball senior duo in
Harmoni Turner and
Elena Rodriguez earned nods Ivy League year end honors, the conference announced this afternoon. Junior captain
Katie Krupa rounded out the yearly honors, being named to the Academic All-Ivy team.
Turner headlined the awards, being named the Ivy League Player of the Year and earning a unanimous First-Team All-Ivy nod. Rodriguez followed by being named Second-Team All-Ivy.
Turner dominated on the court all season, tallying 23 games in double-figures including four games with over 30 points. The Mansfield, Texas averaged a league high 21.6 point per game and 2.8 steals per game. Turner shot a career-best 43.5% from the field while also grabbing 5.5 assists per game and 3.4 assists per game. With show-stopping performances week-by-week, Turner took home a league best five weekly honors.
Rodriguez was a constant presence for the Crimson in her final season. The guard averaged 12.2 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 1.7 steals per game. Rodriguez, who is the program leader for field goal percentage, had the fourth best shooting percentage in the league at 55.7% and the best for players with over 200 attempts.
