CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard University wrestling junior
Jimmy Harrington has earned an at-large berth into the NCAA Wrestling Championships in the 157-pound weight class, and senior
Diego Sotelo has gained selection as an alternate in the 125-pound weight class for the championships, the NCAA announced on Tuesday afternoon.
Harrington will make his debut at the NCAA Championships while Sotelo will appear at NCAAs for the third time if he is elevated from an alternate position.
The at-large selections join the 284 student-athletes that qualified through their conference tournament finishes over the weekend. The at-large selections were made by the NCAA Division I Wrestling Committee using the following selection criteria: head-to-head competition, quality wins, results against common opponents, winning percentage, ratings percentage index, coaches ranking and conference tournament finish.
Seeding and brackets for this year's event will be on March 12 during the NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships Selection Show on NCAA.com at 8 p.m. ET.
The 2025 NCAA Championships will take place at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia from March 20-22.
