Women’s Swimming and Diving Ready for NCAA Championships

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard Women's Swimming and Diving will compete at the NCAA Championships this week at Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way, Washington. The Crimson is slated to be in action on Thursday, March 20, and Saturday, March 22, with ESPN+ handling the broadcast duties.

What to Know

  • Harvard will be represented by Alexandra Bastone (500 free, 1,650 free) and Nina Janmyr (1-meter diving). Bastone received invitations based on her top performances in 2024-25, while Janmyr punched her ticket at the NCAA Zone A Diving Championships last week.
  • Bastone and Janmyr will kick things off for the Crimson on Thursday. The 500 free will be part of the preliminary session, which begins at 1 p.m. ET, and will be followed by the 1-meter diving trials at 3:15 p.m. ET. After that, the diving consolation finals will commence at 8:15 p.m. ET and the finals (swimming, diving) at 9 p.m. ET.
  • Bastone returns to action on Saturday for the prelims of the 1,650 free at 6:45 p.m. ET. The championship finals begin at 9 p.m. ET.
  • Bastone posted the 25th-fastest 500-free time in Division I this season when she won the event at the Ivy League Championships in a school-record 4:38.75. As for the 1,650, the sophomore logged the 17th-best performance nationally when she won the Ivy title in a program-record 15:59.70. Bastone's sub-16 time was the first in school history. The 2025 Championships will mark the first national-meet appearance of Bastone's career.
  • Janmyr secured a spot at nationals in the 1-meter diving competition after placing sixth at the NCAA Zone A Diving Championships in Piscataway, New Jersey. The junior finished with a score of 571.25 to lock in her third straight NCAA berth (2023 – 1m, 3m; 2024 – 1m).
  • With two NCAA participants, Harvard will appear at the national meet for the 13th straight season. Bastone and Janmyr are also the fifth and sixth athletes to make the NCAA field under second-year head coach Amanda Kulik. In 2024, Kulik led a program that had Remi Edvalson, Janmyr, Anya Mostek and Amy Wotovich participate at NCAAs.
