CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – No. 16 Harvard men's tennis (17-5, 3-1 Ivy) toppled Brown (18-9, 0-4 Ivy) this afternoon to record its third straight victory.
The Crimson started fast as the No. 47 nationally ranked duo of
David Lins and
Daniel Milavsky cruised to a 6-2 victory at the top court. As courts two and three neared a close and both favored the Crimson, the doubles point was securely within reach.
Melchior Delloye and
Benjamin Privara ultimately solidified the 1-0 lead with a 6-3 decision at the No. 2 spot.
First-year
Mitchell Lee quickly added to Harvard's lead, blanking Zander Bravo (Brown) at court six.
The Crimson then closed in on a clinch as
Melchior Delloye and
Benjamin Privara inched towards victories. Delloye struck first, dropping James Lian (Brown), 6-4, 6-1. Privara followed to clinch the victory with three matches still in play, winning at court two with a 7-6 (3), 6-2 decision.
Harvard received one final point in the contest courtesy of
Rohan Murali as he defeated Lukas Phimvongsa (Brown) in straight sets (7-5, 6-4) at court four.
