Harvard-Radcliffe Lightweight Eight Places First in Semi-Final in Day One at IRAs

CAMDEN, N.J. - Harvard-Radcliffe lightweights finished the first day of racing at the IRA championship. The varsity eight mounted an exciting comeback sprint to claim first place in the semi-final, advancing to the A final on Sunday, June 1. The varsity four and double both placed fourth in its respective heats, with the four heading to the A final and the double heading to the B final. 

Harvard-Radcliffe returns to the water on Sunday, June 1, for three final events at the IRA National Championships. Racing begins with the Varsity Double (2x) in Final 2 at 8:00 a.m. ET, followed by the Varsity Four (4+) in Final 1 at 8:20 a.m. ET. The day concludes with the Varsity Eight (8+), which enters the grand final at 10:20 a.m. ET after an impressive first-place finish in the heats. All three boats will look to close out the regatta with strong performances on championship Sunday.
