EUGENE, Ore. – Harvard track & field began its time at the 2025 NCAA Outdoor Championships with a strong showing, as three Crimson distance runners shined at Hayward Field.
In his final race with the Crimson, senior
Ben Rosa gave it his all. The Ivy League's 5000m and 10,000m champion this year, Rosa finished in 10
th place with a time of 29:12.19 in the 10,000m at the NCAA Outdoor Championships, as the Lake Bluff, Illinois native garners All-America Second Team honors for the first time. Along with Rosa, junior
Shane Brosnan also represented Harvard in the men's 10,000m final, as he crossed the finish line in 29:33.81 for a 23
rd place finish.
Rosa is the Crimson's first All-American in the men's 10,000m since 2023, when fellow classmate
Graham Blanks finished in sixth at the 2023 NCAA Outdoor Championships in Austin, Texas.
Sophomore
Ferenc Kovacs made an impact in his first career race at the NCAA Outdoor Championships, as he qualifies for Friday's men's 1500m final after finishing in seventh overall in the semifinals with a time of 3:42.31. Running in the second heat, a big kick on the last lap propelled Kovacs to the final, as the Ivy League's champion in the 800m and 4x800m relay finished the final 400m in 53.18.
A native of Torokbalint, Hungary, Kovacs will return to the track at 8:12 p.m. eastern time on Friday for the men's 1500m final.
