CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard Football seniors Ty Bartrum and Jaden Craig have been named to the 2025 Shrine Bowl 1000 Watch List, which builds the foundation and starting point for deciding who will participate in the 2026 East-West Shrine Bowl.
 
Considered one of the top defensive players in the country, Bartrum has already been named a preseason All-America defensive back by FCS Football Central (first team), Stats Perform (second team) and Phil Steele (second team), earning a spot on each of the outlet's second team. Craig, meanwhile, was recognized as an All-America Third-Team quarterback by Phil Steele.
 
The senior duo is looking to be the first Crimson players to receive an invitation to the East-West Shrine Bowl since Truman Jones '23 in 2022. Prior to Jones, the last Harvard representative at the game was Zack Hodges '15 in 2014. Overall, 13 players in program history have appeared at the East-West Shrine Bowl.
 
When Harvard returns to campus in August for fall camp, it will do so as the two-time defending Ivy League champions. Last year's group, went 8-2 overall (5-2 Ivy) for the second consecutive season and ended the campaign ranked No. 25 in the final 2024 Stats Perform FCS Top 25 Poll. The Crimson, meanwhile, was ranked No. 23 in Stats Perform writer Craig Haley's '25 preseason poll, which was released in early May.
 
Harvard will open its 2025 schedule on Sept. 20, when it plays at Stetson (1 p.m.). The Crimson's first home appearance will come the following week when Brown visits Harvard Stadium on Sept. 27, for a 6 p.m. kickoff. Tickets for the Crimson's five-game home slate (Brown, Cornell, Merrimack, Dartmouth, Penn) are on sale now.
