CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard Football quarterback
Jaden Craig has been named to the 2026 Senior Bowl Top 300, it was announced today. The Walter Payton Award Preseason Watch List selection is now on two postseason bowl lists after earning a spot on the Shrine Bowl 1000 Watch List in July.
A native of Montclair, New Jersey, Craig is one of five players from the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) and the only QB in the group. Joining Craig in the 300 from the FCS are wide receivers Bryce Lance (North Dakota State), Max Tomczak (Youngstown State) and Jalen Walthall (Incarnate Word), and defensive back Charles Demmings (Stephen F. Austin). The rising senior is also one of 23 quarterbacks on the Senior Bowl Top 300 and the only one from the FCS.
Craig, who was named to the Phil Steele Preseason All-America Team, landed on the prestigious list after the Senior Bowl scouting department, which is made entirely of former NFL scouts, evaluated over 2,000 players from all levels of college football. This year's list is an exclusive group as the Senior Bowl trimmed its preseason list from 850 players in 2024 to the current number of 300.
Craig comes into 2025 ranked second nationally among returning FCS quarterbacks in TD/INT ratio (7.67), TD percentage (8.2) and fewest interceptions (3; min. 275 att.). He also ranks third among returners in yards per game (243.0), TDs (23) and yards per completion (14.38), fourth in QB rating (158.8), and eighth in passing yards (2,430).
Looking back at last season, Craig played in all 10 games, including one that was cut short due to a first-quarter injury (at Penn), and was 169-for-279 passing for 2,430 yards and 23 touchdowns, while throwing just three interceptions. He threw for multiple TDs seven times and had a season-best four in wins at Cornell and vs. Princeton. Although he only had one rushing touchdown in 2024, he has eight in his career after scampering for seven scores in 2023.
The 2026 Panini Senior Bowl is scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 31, at 2:30 p.m. ET at South Alabama's Hancock Whitney Stadium in Mobile, Alabama.
