Football Selected as Favorite in Ivy League Preseason Poll

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard Football was selected to finish first in the 2025 Ivy League Football Preseason Media Poll, the Ivy League conference office announced on Monday afternoon.
 
The Crimson totaled 118 total points and nine first-place votes to gain the No. 1 spot in the poll. Dartmouth came in second with 105 total points, while receiving four first-place votes. Yale (103 total points, three first-place votes) placed third. Columbia (72 points), Princeton (55), Penn (49), Cornell (42), and Brown (32) rounded out the fourth through eighth spots in the rankings.
 
Harvard brings 14 Phil Steele Preseason All-Ivy League selections into the 2025 season, including senior quarterback and Phil Steele Third Team FCS Preseason All-American Jaden Craig as well as senior defensive back and Phil Steele Second Team FCS Preseason All-American Ty Bartrum. Last fall, the Crimson posted an 8-2 overall record, capturing its second straight Ivy League title.
 
Harvard will open its 2025 schedule on Sept. 20, when it plays at Stetson (1 p.m.). The Crimson's first home appearance will come the following week when Brown visits Harvard Stadium on Sept. 27, for a 6 p.m. kickoff. Tickets for the Crimson's five-game home slate (Brown, Cornell, Merrimack, Dartmouth, Penn) are on sale now.
