CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard fencing welcomes seven incoming first-years to the roster, as the Crimson prepare for the 2025-26 season after finishing in third at the NCAA Championships and first in the race for the 2025 Ivy League Women's Fencing Championship during the 2024-25 season.  

The Harvard fencing class of 2029 represents six different states and two nations, as these seven student-athletes have found tremendous success at both the national and international level. The seven first-years join a Crimson team that returns eight All-Americans and two NCAA runner-up's from last season's squad.

Taylor Chon | Dallas, Texas | Men's Saber
Two-time North American Cup Gold Medalist in junior competition … Four-time medalist in Division I national competition … Represented the United States at the Junior World Championships … Bronze medalist at the 2023 Cadet World Championships … Earned a gold medal at the Cadet Meylan World Cup … Two-time Cadet Bucharest World Cup medalist … Cadet NAC Gold Medalist … 10-time NAC medalist in cadet competition … Earned a silver medal in cadet competition at the USA Fencing Junior Olympics.

Roy Graham | Springfield, Virginia | Men's Foil
A member of both the United States' Junior and Cader national teams from 2019-2025 … Multiple time USA Fencing All-American … Earned a bronze medal at the 2022 Bangkok Junior World Cup … Won gold at the 2024 November NAC in junior competition … Earned gold medal honors in cadet competition at the 2023 November NAC … Medaled in Division I competition at both the 2024 and 2025 April NAC … Finished in third at the 2024 USA Fencing Junior Olympics in cadet competition … Placed third in junior competition at the 2023 Summer Nationals.

Cody Ji | Atlanta, Georgia | Men's Saber
Ranked 16^th in FIE's Junior Men's Saber World Rankings … Three-time World Champion in junior team competition … Two-time gold medalist at Junior World Cups … Bronze medalist at the 2022 Cadet World Championship … Earned a silver medal in senior competition at the 2025 Padua World Cup … Two-time silver medalist at Cader World Cups … Nine-time National Champion … Men's Saber champion at the 2025 USA Fencing Junior Olympics in senior competition … Won gold in junior competition at the 2024 October NAC … Two-time silver medalist at NAC competition … Three-time National Champion in cadet competition.

Emily Jing | West Roxbury, Massachusetts | Women's Foil
Earned a gold medal in team competition at the 2025 Senior World Championships … Led the United States to gold in the team event at the Junior World Championships in 2023 … Represented the United States in cadet and junior competition at the 2023 and 2024 World Championships … Finished in third at the 2023 Cadet World Championships … Won gold at the 2024 November NAC in junior competition … Placed second in division I competition at the 2025 April NAC … Won silver in division I competition at the 2025 USA Fencing Junior Olympics.

Steven Miall | Boston, Massachusetts | Men's Foil
Earned a silver medal at the Cabries Cadet World Cup in the team event … Placed sixth at the 2024 Nuremberg Cadet World Cup … Won gold at the 2024 USA Fencing Junior Olympics in cadet competition … Took fifth at the 2023 March NAC … Placed seventh in cadet competition at the 2023 Summer Nationals.

Zara Pehlivani | Las Vegas, Nevada | Women's Epee
Multiple-time Pan-American Cup qualifier … 2023 European Circuit travel team member … 2021 Divison II National Champion … Medaled in cadet competition at the 2022 USA Fencing Junior Olympics.

Lucia Zhang | Shanghai, China | Women's Foil
Represented Canada at the 2024 Paris Olympics … Helped Canada finish in fourth in the team event at the 2024 Paris Olympics … Bronze medalist at the Junior World Fencing Championships … Won silver in the women's foil team event at the Pan American Championships … Finished in third place at the 2023 Junior World Championships … Won bronze at the 2024 Cadet World Championships … Took first place in both the senior and junior events at the 2025 Canadian National Championships … Earned bronze medal honors at the 2024 October NAC in the division I competition.
