CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard fencing welcomes seven incoming first-years to the roster, as the Crimson prepare for the 2025-26 season after finishing in third at the NCAA Championships and first in the race for the 2025 Ivy League Women's Fencing Championship during the 2024-25 season.
The Harvard fencing class of 2029 represents six different states and two nations, as these seven student-athletes have found tremendous success at both the national and international level. The seven first-years join a Crimson team that returns eight All-Americans and two NCAA runner-up's from last season's squad.
Taylor Chon | Dallas, Texas | Men's Saber
Two-time North American Cup Gold Medalist in junior competition … Four-time medalist in Division I national competition … Represented the United States at the Junior World Championships … Bronze medalist at the 2023 Cadet World Championships … Earned a gold medal at the Cadet Meylan World Cup … Two-time Cadet Bucharest World Cup medalist … Cadet NAC Gold Medalist … 10-time NAC medalist in cadet competition … Earned a silver medal in cadet competition at the USA Fencing Junior Olympics.

A member of both the United States' Junior and Cader national teams from 2019-2025 … Multiple time USA Fencing All-American … Earned a bronze medal at the 2022 Bangkok Junior World Cup … Won gold at the 2024 November NAC in junior competition … Earned gold medal honors in cadet competition at the 2023 November NAC … Medaled in Division I competition at both the 2024 and 2025 April NAC … Finished in third at the 2024 USA Fencing Junior Olympics in cadet competition … Placed third in junior competition at the 2023 Summer Nationals.
